Dudley CVS Covid-19 Community Action and Support

Dudley CVS Covid-19 Community Action and Support

We have been having several conversations with our partners in regards to the escalation of coronavirus and how we can help mobilise community support for vulnerable people and at risk groups.

We are helping to co-ordinate sector partners, statutory partners and people who want to help to make sure that practical support is safe, appropriately channeled and effective. This means that some of our current work and services will be disrupted, so please do bear with us during this unprecedented time.

  • DY1 is currently closed to the public until further notice
  • Brierley Hill Civic Hall is closed to the public until further notice
  • Our events and gatherings are cancelled to promote social distancing
  • Many staff are working from home and will have some access to emails. Some staff are offering support via email or remote gatherings, but do please be patient with us as we are all involved in ensuring the most vulnerable get the support they need
  • There is a small team manning our office in Albion Street, Brierley Hill. Once again, we ask that you bear with us if your enquiry does not relate to the co-ordination of the community response to Covid-19. We will get back to you, but this may take some time.
How we are responding to Covid-19 and how you can get involved

Dudley CVS is co-ordinating local COVID-19 efforts to help establish six COVID-19 Support Networks for each of the following geographical localities:

• Sedgley, Coseley and Gornal

• Dudley and Netherton

• Kingswinford and Amblecote

• Brierley Hill

• Stourbridge, Wollescote and Lye

• Halesowen and Quarry Bank

How groups can get involved

If your organisation or group would like to be part of a virtual COVID-19 Support Network to explore options for mobilising local support for vulnerable people, please complete and return this form.

How individuals can get involved

If you are interested in registering as an individual volunteer to help support local vulnerable people, please complete and return this form.

We are collating details and building networks of support across six areas in the Dudley borough. This is to ensure that support is well co-ordinated and channelled to where it is needed most.

We will be in touch with you as soon as possible to mobilise the support that has been offered when requests for support start to come in.
